UPDATE:

It’s come as a surprise but I’m utrning away from being primarily a painter to something a little more flexible an adaptable. It’s my hope that future ideas might be explored not primarily through 2-D works on paper, canvas or board but, recorded in book-form compendium pieces or ‘compositions’. These multi-disciplinary ‘book work’ projects will draw on my archive of research, drawings, poetry, paintings and photography amassed over the past 40 years and will also include new artwork created specifically for each project.

My thinking is at an early stage of development, however the slideshows below contain images from a number of compositions already under way and show something of my the direction of travel.

I’m excited by the interplay of ideas and images and hope you find the content interesting…

Whilst the new work is being made I’m going to take down the archive pages of previous work and re-evaluate how I want to show it moving forward. I’m updating my Artist’s Statement and ‘A Bit About Me’ pages too, to better reflect this change in focus.
